The Blaine County Mapping and Zoning Department in San Andreas is a crucial branch of the local government, responsible for overseeing land use planning, zoning regulations, and cartographic services. The Mapping and Zoning Department is led by a team of experienced professionals, including planners, engineers, and cartographers, who work closely with the community, elected officials, and other stakeholders to create and implement land use policies. Our primary responsibilities include:
Zoning Regulations:
Administering and enforcing zoning regulations to ensure compliance with the county’s General Plan and zoning ordinances.
Reviewing and approving development applications, including building permits, land use permits, and variances.
Conducting site inspections to verify compliance with zoning regulations.
Land Use Planning:
Participating in the development and revision of the Blaine County General Plan, which guides long-term land use decisions and establishes policies for growth and development.
Collaborating with other county departments and agencies on land use planning initiatives, such as transportation, housing, and economic development.
Conducting research and analysis to inform land use planning decisions.
Cartographic Services:
Creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date maps of Blaine County, including topographic maps, zoning maps, and parcel maps.
Providing mapping services to the public, including map copies, online mapping tools, and geographic information systems (GIS) data.
